Hokkaido-Ya is a fast-casual eatery serving hearty Hokkaido inspired dishes and Japanese favorite food such as Donburi and Yakitori. The interior design speaks of a casual and bright ambiance dominated with blue color to enhance the brand identity. The fun vibe also emphasized by the application of attractive neon sign on the walls to attract the passerby.
The interior design concept for Hokkaido-Ya started by looking at the lives of residents on the island of Hokkaido, most of whom have an occupation as hunter and fisherman. Thus, the application of blue wave pattern on the storefront, the dominant use of wooden material and vertical garden on the inner wall of the dining area are ways to translate the initial concept into interior design.
The whole look of Hokkaido-Ya is contemporary and vibrant. Since Hokkaido-Ya is a new brand in Indonesia, the storefront is made to be bright with added lightbox menu to attract the attention of the visitors and to make the outlet standout compare to others in the same isle. And even though the dining area is separated by mall corridor, the design element, selection of material and treatment are still complementing each other and result in one design unity between the inner and outer dining area.
