Project Detail:

Name: Chamber Food and Spirits
Location: Pasific Place Mall, Ground Floor, SCBD, Jakarta – Indonesia.

Project Challenges:

Chamber is one of the most popular places in Jakarta today. The idea was
developed from great gatsby movie which gives glamorous and vintage
athmosphere. We want to create a hang-out area up to date, that many youngsters
and young professionals will come. The interior design concept is American classic,
however, there is an old rustic. The challengeis how to build an ambience where
when people are entering, there will be this luxurious impression, glamorous,
however it is still vintage.

Meanwhile, we also want to explore new materials but they should still give
vintage impression. Of course, without having to leave out the luxurious impression.
Although we want a vintage classic nuance, it should be stylist and do not let the
youngsters hesitate to enter this area.Additionally the land that is not too big also
becomes an obstacle for us to explore more. The inside of the client wanted to look
more formal and elegance. While the semi-outdoor area is made a little more light so
people can be more relaxed while smoking. Additionally other challenge is where we
want to provide toilets in this dining area. Though I have mentioned earlier that the
area is not too large. And the customer will feel less comfortable when sitting on the
toilet area.

Solution to Project Challenges

From various challenges that has been mentioned before, gradually solutions
are found after we did a long discussion with the designer team, contractor and
owner. Thank god we have a high ceiling so we decided to provide special custom
treatment in the ceiling area. We use lux candellier , then there are art games as a
ceiling detail, in addition we paint the ceiling with special effects to give the impression of curve and the 3D is more showing. Drink bottles displayed are also
designed to look like bookcase with shelves and use a dark colored lighting game
with an indication of its products to look more eye-catching and more interesting. In
terms of the arrangement of bottles we also use psychological technique retail
display where the set up of products should be full to make it more interesting.
The materials used are the material of choice such as marble, real leather,
solid wood, and copper. Placement of toilet was deliberately done to not be too
common, it looks as if fusing with the wall and people will not be aware that behind
the wall is a toilet. It aims to camouflage the area so that customers sitting near the
toilet will be uncomfortable.
